I'm at my wit's end with my 2016 320i. About a month ago the check engine light came on and I bought one of those cheap OBD2 scanners online thinking I could figure it out myself. It threw a P0171 lean code so I replaced the MAF sensor, then the intake boots, then the PCV valve, and even the fuel filter. Nothing worked. The light keeps coming back and now the car hesitates when I accelerate. A guy at the parts counter told me I should stop throwing money at it and get proper diagnostics because these cars need more than a generic code reader. He mentioned that some people in the community talk about the Best BMW engine diagnostics in MBZ City, and I think I've seen that name pop up before. I haven't booked anything yet because I'm not sure if it's worth it or if they'll just tell me something I already know. Has anyone had a proper diagnostic done there or anywhere similar? Did it actually pinpoint the issue instead of just giving a code? I've already spent more than I want to admit on parts so I'm hoping a real scan can save me from replacing the whole engine. Any advice would help.
