I'm in a bit of a dilemma trying to decide how much paint protection film to actually get for my new car, and I keep going back and forth every time I get a quote from a workshop. But then the full body wraps can go anywhere from 6,900 up to 22,000 dirhams depending on the film brand and quality. Part of me thinks that for a daily driver, spending that much on a full wrap is overkill when the front end takes 90% of the rock chips anyway, and I could just save thousands and put that money toward something else. But the other part of me has read that on lighter coloured cars, having PPF only on the front can leave a visible line where the film ends, and over time the unprotected paint might fade differently from the protected areas which would look terrible when you eventually sell the car or remove the film. I've been looking at a few workshops around the M9 area that offer Vehicle Protection Layer Musaffah Industrial Abu Dhabi services, and I've seen some really good reviews for places like Patriot Auto Studio who apparently use genuine XPEL materials with manufacturer warranties registered in your name. I've also come across Car Frame Auto Care in Musaffah M3 which has a 4.8 rating from over 400 reviews and specializes in PPF with self-healing technology using premium brands. What I really need is some honest advice from people who've actually been through this decision here in Abu Dhabi. Did you go full or just front, and do you regret it? If you only did the front, do you notice the line or any colour difference after a year or two? And if you went full, do you feel like the extra cost was actually justified for a car that's driven daily and parked outside? I'm leaning toward just doing the front and saving the money, but I really don't want to end up regretting it a couple of years down the line when the rest of the car starts to look different from the protected areas. Any real-world experience would be massively helpful right now.
