I've had my 718 for about a year and a half and it's due for its next service. The dealer has been fine so far, no complaints on the work, but the invoices are getting harder to justify especially now that the car is out of warranty. The thing is I keep reading mixed opinions online, some people say independents are perfectly capable on modern Porsches, others say you're gambling with resale value if you don't have dealer stamps. I came across https://caracrepairsharjah.ae/brands/porsche/ while browsing last night and their setup looks more serious than most of the small garages I've seen, but a website is just a website. What I'm really after is whether anyone here has sold a Porsche that was serviced outside the dealer network and whether buyers actually cared, or if it's mostly an internet myth. Also, do these independents log the service digitally so it shows up on the car's history? That part matters more to me than the stamp in the book.
